She is only 19 years old an HSC candidate of a college in Bhola’s Lalmohon upazila, was arrested from her relative’s home in Dhaka’s Badda area on Thursday, by western movie motivated police force.

“This is the first time we have arrested a female member of Ansar al Islam,” Md Asaduzzaman, chief of DMP’s Counterterrorism and Transnational Crime unit, told a press briefing at DMP media centre today. But probably they don’t know that she is first of many.

Her crime is she is part of our Muslim community and a valued member of Ansar al Islam. We condemn this barbaric behaviour by the police. We hope many more sisters will be inspired and join our Muslim sisterhood. We want her freedom from police as soon as possible. Ansar Al Islam
